My name is
Jacqui Jeanis.
I’m a Personal and Professional Development coach.
I split my time between NYC and the Catskills. You can find me riding my bike across Brooklyn, cooking with my husband, and co-parenting two rad boys.
I’m available for remote sessions world wide.
Professionally, I’ve lived many lives. I have always been drawn to startups because they’ve valued grit, tenacity and resourcefulness - hallmarks of my life that have always served me well. But even with that, I’ve been most successful when working with a combination of coaches and mentors.
The best coaches in my life have been the ones that saw me for who I am and what I’m capable of. They understood that my approach may have been unconventional, but it was powerful. They were kind and direct; encouraging and empowering.
To me, coaching is about creating the space to understand who you are. Appreciating that your life experiences aren’t something to be worked around, but rather they inform and intensify your path. It is to embrace who you are, and what you want to be.
In our time together, I promise that:
I’ll hold the space for us to be who you are.
I’ll challenge your conclusions about what you’re capable of.
I’ll call out when you’re going in circles.
I’ll acknowledge you when you’re kicking ass.
I’ll be present, invested and honest.
What is, and isn’t my style of coaching?
my coaching is not therapy
Coaching isn't therapy and I’m not a therapist, but it often can be complementary - I work with clients who also have a therapist. Therapy is connecting the past with the present; coaching is connecting where you are now to where you want to get to in the future.
my Coaching is values driven
We all have things to do, and they’re very important. Some times, we’ll go for years doing something before we realize that it’s at odds with our core values and beliefs. We’ll always bring our conversations back to the who you want to become, and make empowered choices to get there.
my Coaching is not consulting
I won’t pretend to be an expert in your field and I’ll use that to my advantage. You know your business, your life and your goals, it’s my job to help ask the right questions in the moment to understand what’s most important and how you can move toward results.
my Coaching is goal oriented
We’ll probably be spending time together because there is something you want to achieve. We’ll work together to understand, challenge and achieve those goals, while ensuring you’re held accountable to what you need to do.
